Why this site? Learn More and Take the Tour - Next
I've been doing websites for myself and others since 1997. My first web page creation started before that, when I bought a "dummy" book on html. There was much frustration and trial and error in those early years.
I found I was not alone. Others started asking me for help. I kept giving the same answers to different people so I thought "Why not put it all in one place?" On this site, I will share the fruits of my years of trial and error, so you can avoid much of the frustration that comes with building web pages.
If you are starting out, whether you are a beginner or have some experience, you may find this site useful. If so, there is a donation button. If not, maybe you'll find what you need by going to some of the sites mentioned on my links page.
Before starting your beautiful website, you may have questions, or need help in areas you had not thought of. I will try to answer the following questions:
- Can a beginner make a web page?
- I don't know anything about programming, what do I do?
- Why does my site look different on other computers?
If you already have a page or pages but want help:
- What's this talk about validation and why should I care?
- Should I add a lot of fancy stuff to my web site?
- Does my site look bad?
Other questions you may have:
- What's the best place to put my site on the web?
- How much money does it cost?
- Will Google ever find me?
What used to be a drudge is now a joy. Do you want to trade frustration for happiness? Read on...
